Welcome to my "online writing place" on Blogger. I titled this initial post as I did because I feel funny saying I "blog". Maybe I'm too old school and just prefer to "write". I am new to writing in general (beyond what I had to write in high school in order to graduate) so this will be as new experience for me.
In fact, that is what this site will be for me. A place to write about whatever new experiences come my way and for things that I have rolling around in my head. I'm 42, live in the Portland Oregon area with my wife and 4 kids. I work in the IT dept of the local power company as a compliance professional and I've been in the desktop support area for most of my career.
It's because I've been doing the same thing for so long that I want to branch out and try new things. Like writing. And maybe programming. Using Linux. And learning about Cyber Security. I also have some hobbies that I may or may not write about as well.
It is my hope that as time goes on you will notice an improvement in my writing as I learn new techniques and maybe return to the basics or writing. After all, I never thought I'd use this writing stuff after school anyway :-)
I will try my best to post here at least once every week or so.
